The fertilizer granulator plays a vital role in organic fertilizer production. Here’s a step-by-step guide to operating it:

Pre-Startup Checks

1. Inspect the Equipment

Thoroughly check all parts of the granulator. Look for cracks in the machine body, ensure screws are tightly fastened, and verify that transmission components (like belts) have proper tension.

Confirm the granulation mold is correctly installed and undamaged, as this directly affects particle shape and quality.

2. Prepare Raw Materials

Ensure organic fertilizer raw materials are evenly mixed. Control moisture content to between 20% and 30%. Too dry will make it difficult to granulate, while too wet will cause the particles to stick together.

Startup Process

1. Power On

Turn on the fertilizer granulator and let it run empty for 2–3 minutes. Listen for unusual noises (grinding, rattling) and check for abnormal vibrations.

2. Begin Feeding

Once the machine runs smoothly, start feeding material slowly. Adjust the feeding speed based on the machine’s capacity and material properties to avoid clogging.

3. Adjust Settings

Tweak the machine’s speed and pressure to match your desired granule size. For larger particles, reduce speed slightly and increase pressure.

Operation Monitoring

1. Quality Control

Regularly check granules for size, shape, and density. If particles crumble easily or look uneven, adjust settings immediately.

Monitor the machine’s temperature. Overheating can damage parts or affect granule quality. Watch for excessive vibration—it might indicate loose parts or mechanical issues.

Shutdown Steps

1. Stop Feeding

Cut off the material supply first. Let the machine run until leftover material is fully processed (usually 3–5 minutes).

2.Power Off

Turn off the power. Remove residue from the fertilizer granulator and surrounding area. Wipe down surfaces and lubricate moving parts if needed.
