Ring die granulators are essential equipment in feed, organic fertilizer, and similar industries. Running at high capacity for long periods can lead to wear, blockages, or reduced efficiency. Consistent daily maintenance reduces breakdowns, extends equipment life, and improves production reliability.

1.Regular Checks and Lubrication

Lubricate bearings and drive parts: Regularly check the lubrication system. Keep bearings, gears, and drive chains well-oiled to prevent wear from dry friction.

Motor care: Routinely check motor temperature, vibration, and current to prevent overload.

2.Ring Die and Roller Maintenance

Clear die holes: Clean leftover material after shutdowns to avoid blockages.

Check wear: Look for grooves on the die or rollers, or enlarged holes. Replace or flip worn parts to maintain pellet quality.

Use the die evenly: Avoid overworking one area. Rotate roller positions periodically to extend die life.

3.Belt and Drive System Adjustments

Check belt tension: If the belt of the ring die granulator is too loose, it will slip, and if the belt is too tight, the motor will be overloaded. Adjust to proper tension regularly.

Tighten bolts: Vibration loosens bolts. Check and tighten critical connections weekly.

4.Material Prep and Machine Cleaning

Control moisture: Too much moisture causes sticking. Keep material between 12%-18% (adjust as needed).

Clean thoroughly after shutdowns: Prevent leftover material from hardening and affecting startup.

Through scientific daily maintenance, the failure rate of the ring die granulator can be significantly reduced, and lowers repair costs, extends the life of key parts like the ring die and rollers.
