The strong odor from pig manure organic fertilizer production line has long been a challenge, but several practical solutions exist. Here are effective methods to minimize these smells:

Physical Adsorption and Containment

1. Activated Carbon Adsorption: Activated carbon’s porous structure and large surface area make it ideal for trapping gases like ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. Install activated carbon filters in ventilation systems or exhaust pipes, and replace them regularly. Sprinkling activated carbon granules on manure piles can also reduce odor release.

2. Biofiltration: Biofilters use materials like wood chips, peat, or straw combined with odor-eating microbes to break down smelly gases. These systems work well for large-scale operations, as microbes convert harmful gases into harmless substances.

Chemical Neutralization

1. Acid-Base Balancing:Ammonia is one of the main odorous gases produced by the fermentation of pig manure organic fertilizer production line.Adding acidic substances (such as ferrous sulfate, calcium superphosphate) to manure neutralizes alkaline ammonia gas, forming odorless salts. However, carefully control amounts to avoid soil or environmental harm.

2. Oxidizers: Spraying diluted hydrogen peroxide or potassium permanganate on manure piles or in processing areas helps break down odors through oxidation. These chemicals react with smelly gases, turning them into harmless compounds.

Biological Solutions

Microbial Agents: Adding specialized bacteria (such as photosynthetic bacteria, lactobacillus) to manure suppresses odor-causing microbes by outcompeting them for resources. These "good" bacteria speed up decomposition and improve fertilizer quality. Follow product guidelines to mix agents evenly into the manure.

By combining these methods, pig manure organic fertilizer production line odors can be significantly reduced. This not only benefits the environment but also enhances product quality and market appeal.
